    The Germans had possession of the Cameroons (Kamerun) until the end of
the First World War.
    An excellent book on German colonies is Deutschlad als Kolonialmacht,
Berlin, undated but probably circa 1920. This publication has a lot of
information about the Cameroons, including rare old photographic
illustrations.
