I need some help from the list, please.  I recently saw the 1949 film "In
The Good Old Summertime" with Judy Garland and Van Johnson.  There was a
character in it, played by Marcia van Dyke, who played the violin.  Could
anyone tell me; (this is not a quiz, I really want to know!)

1.  what was the "audition" piece that she played in a scene near the end
of the movie (on the "Stradivarius" violin)

2.  who was actually doing the playing?
