The tonalities of the century 17 to middles of the 18 were little:
until four sharps (E Major) and four flats (A b Major). Theoretical
controversies, construction difficulty and tuning of the instruments,
and temper were the problems. Only J.S. Bach and J.Ph. Rameau ("Traite
de l'harmonie" - 1722) advanced more. Hear:
