Thanks to Dave for distributing the list of award winners.  The one winner
which does surprise me is Handel's Acis & Galatea from William Christie
on Erato which won for Baroque Vocal Recording.  I thought that the set
was excellent except for Christie's smooth and genial direction.  Pinnock,
who directs the Mozart arranged performance on Archiv, is so much better.
Also, at least a few reviewers had a similar reaction.

I would like to praise one of Christie's vocal soloists, Sophie Daneman,
who plays the role of Galatea.  She has a fabulous and expressive voice.
If there's merit in buying this set, Daneman's the motivation.
