And one can be gay, and despite the affinities in sexual orientation,
still dislike the music of another gay person.  Britten, whether hetero-
or homosexual, is a bore.  His lover Peter Pear's voice wasn't anything to
crow about.  But sexual orientation aside, I reserve the right to change my
mind when I grow up or Britten grows old.
