As Busoni probably got the idea from Beethoven's Calm Sea and Prosperous
Voyage [Steve is thinking of the choral fantasy -Dave], so Busoni has
influenced at least one other major work: Vaughan Williams's Fantasia
on Old 104th (EMI CDM 7 69962 2; Boult conducting Peter Katin on piano).
I'm not a terrific fan of the Busoni, but I do love the VW.
