The Daily telegraph editorial today, about the Cook affair, included the
following.

   "......Whatever Downing Street may say about standing by him, he has
   been badly damaged.

   It was always odd that a government so obsessed with "presentation"
   should choose to represent it abroad someone who looked as if he had
   escaped from a Wagnerian smithy.  ....  "

One should be impressed that the Daily Telegraph's leader writer knows his
Ring!
