You're using the intermediate numbering system.  Time was when the Great C
major was numbered 7, then 9 and now IIRC 8.

When then Unfinished was 8 and the GCM 9, there was no number 7.

Harnoncourt's 1 & 4 a pretty good, but I can't get worked up about
Schubert's earlier symphonies.
