The Women's Philharmonic
The voice for women in orchestral music
We hope you will be able to join us for another exciting season concert
on Saturday, January 23. The program features the world premiere of Thea
Musgrave's "Three Women: Queen, Mistress, Slave," an operatic portrait
of three extraordinary women for soprano, narrator, and orchestra. The
concert also features flutist Renee Siebert performing Judith Shatin's
spiritual journey, "Ruah," as well as an orchestral work entitled "Molto
Sustenuto" by Canadian composer Sophie-Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatte.
The concert will be held at San Francisco's Herbst Theatre at 8 pm
on Saturday, January 23, 1999. Please call (415) 392-4400 to purchase
tickets over the phone. We hope to see you there!
