Like Chris Borstel, I'm not certain I understand quite how the principle of
least effect/effort applies to site formation processes. Occam's Razor did
spring to mind, however--that the simplest explanation of a particular
phenomenon is the best. Perhaps Ms. Marlatt will enlighten us.
