Steve Schwartz's list included "Tommasini: Scarlattiana". The actual
title of the ballet (in English, at any rate) is "The Good-Humoured
Ladies", it's a pastiche of Scarlatti tunes, and it's one of my favorites.
I've nearly worn out the superb Louis Lane/Cleveland LP (Walton's Wise
Virgins is on the flip side), which, regrettably has not been reissued
on CD. The Robert Irving/Concert Arts Orchestra version is on CD (or was,
since it's on EMI and may have been cut out already); it's not on par with
the Lane, but good enough. Treat yourself, if you've never heard it!
