>I took my ex to a concert performance of the Concerto for Organ, Strings

>pieces of music), which she enjoyed enormously. ... "Sometimes it
>sounded like we were in church, sometimes it sounded like we were on a
>carnival merry-go-round. I loved it!".

The organ itself has churchy associations for many. As for its carnival
aspect, one of the most memorable of live concerts for me included a
performance of this wonderful concerto, with Virgil Fox literally hopping
up and down with delight as he played it.
