After a recent audio system upgrade (a cheap upgrade), I am listening to
more and more classical music. I like the Baroque period music usually.
Recently, I have buyed several Mozart, Vivaldi, Albinoni and others
records, from Naxos and EMI Red Label.
Why? Where I live (Portugal) the price of a new CD is around $19.00 USD and
Naxos can be had at around $5.45 - $5.75 and Emi Red Line at $4.35 - $5.75.
I once had a Pergolesi Stabat Mater record that I liked:
Pergolesi/Stabat Mater
Vivaldi/Motet "In Furore Giustissimae Irae"
Vivaldi/Stabat Mater
Dorian 90196
Les Violons du Roy - Bernard Labadie
Dorothea Roschmann, Soprano;
Catherine Robbin, Mezzo-Soprano
It is the only version I know and I liked it very much.
Is this a good disc? Should I buy another of the versions recommended
sometime ago on this list?
P.S: I bought full price discs, when I was single and didnt had a house
to pay... Not complaining, just explaining!!!!!:-):-):-) :-)
Oh, and the disk was given to a friend, not lost. Many thanks
