??? Arthur Woodward ??? Or is ther an Alfred Woodward?
Art Woodward is, indeed, an ancestral figure but not equal to
JC Harrington. Woodward also was to a fair degree outside of
historical archaeology, doing a lot of history on the West and
material culture studies. He did, however, go back to the 1920s
with his interest in our field (i.e. contact period archaeology
in North America.).
