I must confess it, I am definitely a choral freak.  This is the only
way that I as an amateur get the fantastic privilege of sharing concert
platforms and recording studios with some of the greatest musicians in the
world.

What about choral songs - e.g.  Elgar's choral songs? (plug for Hyperion
CDA67019 at this point:  Choral Songs of Sir Edward Elgar, London Symphony
Chorus cond.  Vernon Handley) Just like Schubert's "songs" these are
settings of (mainly) Romantic poems, but for choir (unaccompanied) rather
than solo voice with piano.  Certainly not motets or pieces.  Every choral
freak should have this CD!
