Given the current thread, and having recently seen one of the Indiana Jones movies for the umpteenth time,  I recall the story that Hitler sent a small team of SS into England to look for the Grail at Glastonbury Abbey, one of its legendary resting places.  Not finding it -- so the story goes-- Hitler concluded that the Grail had been sent to the US and knew then that he would lose the war.
