Don't forget either that "The U.S.'s first "Our Mary"" originally hailed
from Toronto.  "America's Sweetheart" was thus a Canadian adoptee who
remains an internationally contested cultural property.  Could such
contesting have continued/occurred between generations of Fairbanks's?
