In the course of a recent survey of a gold/copper field I came across a
metal object that looked rather like a fire brick lined cement mixer which I
am assuming is some form of rotary kiln. The item was marked "Made By
Lansing Co, Lansing Mich. USA QM54".

I was wondering if anyone might have further information on the Lansing Co.
