        In recent surveys in the Mimbres area (edge of the Gila Wilderness
in western New Mexico), we have been finding quartz cores and flakes,
although we have not yet located in crystaline quartz.  I know this
is not relevant to the area in question but wanted to put in my .02
dollar.
