Probably little people who couldn't use a shovel with one hand with a beer
in the other.
I just couldn't resist.

I was just reading about how Shovelbums.org is discussing with Marshaltown
the possiblity of producing trowels with the shovelbums.org logo. This is
probably a dumb question, but does anyone know who were the first
archaeologists to use trowels for their excavation? It's such a good idea,
it must have been a historical archaeologist. . . just musing aloud over
the list. . .
