Dear List,

As a Canadian student living in the United States, I don't wish to
dismiss Gordon Sinclair's tribute but he made it in 1973 and died in
1984. His points were arguably appropriate at the time but many are
quite dated today, such as the commercial airliner segment as Geoff
noted. The lead post of this thread seemed to suggest that this
"remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto" was made in the last few
days, which indeed would have been quite remarkable.
