Richard Tsuyuki asks:

>Does anyone know to what Kennicott is referring regarding Sony Classical?

I'd guess this refers to Sony Classical's recent emphasis on "crossover"
artists and what used to be called "light classical" or "semiclassical"
music. I.e., the kind of stuff that gets played by the Boston Pops rather
than the Boston Symphony.

This could be either a concern about the insignificant market share of
classical music, or it could be an inversion of the "classical music is
elitist" stereotype.
