Italian - the c is a c cedilla). On Thursday 15:00, Antena2 has an
historic recording of Verdi's Ernani with Placido Domingo & Mirella
Freni conducted by Riccardo Muti.

Artists - On Sunday 8:00 BBC/3 has "a recital given by the pianist Alfred

also highlighting violinist Ruggiero Ricci. On Wednesday and Thursday at
13:30 La Chaine has Bach Partitas played by pianist Andras Schiff.

Alfred Schnittke - on Friday BBC/3 will be broadcasting 6 works by the late
Russian composer. At 6:30, it's the Polyphonic Tango for small orchestra
& Concerto grosso No 3; at 13:00 Piano Sonatas #1 and #2; at 14:30 it's the
Violin concerto #4; at 15:25 Symphony #1. During the week prior to this,
at 6:30, they explore "the diverse musical influences on the composer and
placing his work in its social and political context" by presenting works
by many composers (mostly 20th Century Russian - but, also, Jean Sibelius
and Arvo Part).
