Ernst Toch's grandson, Robert, is a buddy of mine.  I had the slightly odd
experience of learning bits and pieces about Robert's composer-grandfather
before I knew anything about the man or his music.  It was kind of nice to
encounter a famous artist (however indirectly) without their fame, like a
bloated beer-belly, preceeding them.
