I was excited to see that DG have /are releasing a live VPO Boulez
recording of Bruckner's wonderful 8th symphony. Has anyone heard it
yet? Any comments?

I understand that it was recorded in a cathedral acoustic. I have fond
memories of radio broadcasts from Lubeck / NDRSO / Wand. The great spaces
changed the architecture of the work, with beautiful reverberation into
long pauses.

I hope that the work is either squeezed onto one CD or on 2 CDs priced as
one (like the recent DG Chopin concert set).
