Can someone tell me if the ARPA (16 USC 470) was amended to include fines up to $250,000.00 and five years on subsequent offenses and where that amendment is located? I only know actual damages to archeological resources amounting to less than $500.00 in commercial value and/or restoration/recovery costs is a fine of not more than $10,000.00, or one year imprisonment, or both; for damages over $500.00 the fine is not more than $20,000.00, or two years imprisonment, or both; second and subsequent violations get a fine of not more than $100,000.00, of five years imprisonment, or both. Help is appreciated.
