PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Commonwealth Cultural Resources Group, Inc. (CCRG), a full-service cultural
resource consulting firm with offices in Michigan, Wisconsin, and New York
desires to fill the position of Principal Investigator. This is a
senior-level staff position initially based in our Jackson, Michigan office.
The position requires a through understanding of the Section 106 process and
NEPA compliance; experience managing multiple and/or complex projects
involving both archaeological and above-ground resource components; ability
to manage in-house support staff, sub-consultants, and temporary employees;
and proficiency in preparing budgets and proposals for both government and
private sector clients. The ability to communicate with clients and review
agencies, excellent writing/editing skills, and knowledge of computers are
critical. Applicants should have a minimum of an M.A, in
anthropology/archaeology. We desire an individual with a background in
prehistoric or historic archaeology; experience with both is a plus, as is
prior experience in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
