At site at the American River in the Sacramento valley (CA-Sac-157) in
California, artifacts within the first 60 centimeters had been jumbled as a
result of ploughing. I don't know precisely what machinery was used,
however, ag activities occured at the site from circa 1850 through the
1960s.
