Several reviews of releases in this series by Steve Schwartz, Ray Tuttle,
Bob Stumpf and Robert Cummings can be found at Classical Net:

Gottschalk - Orchestral Music

Almost all of these releases are important in their own way. I'd say
especially the Piston violin concertos, Confrey's piano music, the Grofe
suites, and the symphonies by Thomson, Antheil, and Creston are all well
worth having. I have also bought the following that I would recommend:

Muczynski - Complete Works for Flute (8.559001)
    Willson - Symphonies #1 & 2 (8.559006)
    MacDowell - Piano Works Vols. 1-4 (8.559010, 11, 19 & 30)
    Scarmolin - Orchestral Works (8.559012)
    Foote - Chamber Works Vols. 1 & 2 (8.559009 & 8.559014)
    Strong - Symphony #2 & Chorale on a theme of Hassler (8.559018)
    Siegmeister - Piano Music Vols. 1 & 2 (8.559020, 21)
    Griffes - Piano Music Vols. 1 & 2 (8.559023 & 46)

The Foote, MacDowell and Griffes(?) are reissues of Marco Polo releases.
I sure hope they choose to do more Muczynski. I've liked just about
everything I've heard by him. There are several other releases, about 35
in all now I think, and I'm sure others will also have recommendations,
right Scott?
