Nimbus has just released a disc of string quartets by Karl Weigl who
lived from 1881 to 1949. All I know of Weigl is that he was a student
of Zemlinsky and died in the U.S. with no recognition of his musical
accomplishments.
I'd appreciate any feedback as to the style of his music (similar to
Zemlinsky?) and whether his chamber music is worth investigating.
