I use a dead refrigerator with a light bulb inserted to reliquefy honey and
to melt wax. A standard kitchen refrigerator with a 100 watt light bulb
takes 48 hours to melt a bucket of wax and you can dip this into a smaller
container for pouring into moulds.
Stainless steel is preferable for the container as other metals stain the
wax - although for candles I do not find this a problem.
Most refrigerators have a drainage hole in the bottom - this can be used to
insert a power cord and the light bulb is mounted on a wood frame so that it
does not touch anything.
