"Composing is my life blood" said Morton Gould. I can only find an article
on him in my "Oxford Companion to Popular Music". No other dictionary or
encyclopedia consulted up to now in my own library contains any reference
to Morton Gould. That is very strange. He is surrounded by ignorance and
by despise.
However, his music is not very different from that of, say, Gershwin.
As I said, I can't find any CD of him here in Portugal.
As a descendant of austrians and russians, he has music on his genes!
I know there is a Delios CD on sale in the United States, containing music
from his "Cinerama Holiday", for instance.
I'll try to find his new biography which is due shortly, as you say.
