When I think of evil men in opera it's hard not to start with the Ring
Cycle: Alberich and Hagen come to mind first, and neither Mime nor Wotan
is exactly admirable.  And the men in Cosi fan Tutte, although not quite
as evil as Wagners villains, are quite scurrilous.
