May I refer you a thread from 1998 at
http://listserv.albany.edu/archives/bee-l.html
entitled 'Horses"?

Simply enter 'horses' into the search pane.  I originally looked for just
'horse', by got a lot of junk about kicking dead horses on BEE-L.
