Greetings! As a consequence of the offending Antiques Roadshow program that was
discussed here a few days ago, I sent a mild e-letter of protest to the AR. In
response, I was sent their standard response which attempts to answer the
most-asked questions sent in by viewers.  So I don't know how much good writing
them will do. However, reading quickly thru their form letter, I did catch the
following item which I thought was somewhat interesting:

We do not appraise coins, stamps, or antiquities which require carbon dating for
authentication.

At least we won't be seeing Pithecantropus bones on the show! Karlis
