Richard Pennycuick on the film 'Brassed Off':

The band who actually provided the music for the film was of course the
London SO, whose film credits also include the 'Star Wars' series. Maurice
Murphy, their Principal Trumpet since March 1977, has become something of
a legend himself, and is to have a celebratory concert in his honour in
October at the LSO's London home, with Sir Colin and a host of special
guests.
