At the end of an interesting interview with Christian Thielemann, this
week's Der Spiegel tries to get the conductor to admit that he has been
chosen as Sawallisch's successor in Philadelphia. Though Thielemann won't
talk ("Kein Kommentar."), the interviewer tells him frankly that "you are
a poor liar" and ends with: "We thank you, as the apparent new music
director in Philadelphia, for this interview."
Anybody heard anything definite?
