Alex Renwick queried his CD notes:
>"Saltzburg Symphony No. 3
>Diversimento in F major K 138
The three divertimenti K 136, 137 and 138 are known as the Salzburg
Symphonies. They are not part of the group of symphonies which have
numbers as distinct from Kochel numbers. Neither are they part of
the group of 17 divertimenti which have numbers. Some recordings
(eg Hogwood's) call some of the serenades symphonies. The "Salzburg
Symphonies" are not *really* symphonies. It's all very confusing but the
important thing is the music. I take it the CD contains only one movement.
If you like that, then there's every chance you'll enjoy the rest of them.
