I once left Robert J Lurtsema a phone message asking a question about
Mozart's Turkish Rondo and its possible connection to a piece by Dave
Brubeck called Rondo ala Turque. He was nice enough to call me back.
Imagine my surprise when I heard the unforgettable dulcet tones of his
voice on my telephone asking if I was there!

Although he said he knew Brubeck, he did not know of any connection.
Still, it was fun to talk with him and I agree with the lister who said
that, "Many who did not know him still felt he was a friend."
