hey, you may see my response to your first post on the list.  I'm a
violinist but am considering composition, conducting, and history as a
focus.  I'm lucky in that I go to a school where people tend to be open
minded and there are others that are interested in music.  It can still
be hard though, my friends tend not to understand why I'd rather go to a
concert by myself on a Friday instead of party with them sometimes.  best
