For classical music lovers considering a trip, there are the known places,
Vienna, Italy, Pilgrimages to Bayreuth - as well as a variety of American
destinations such as Tanglewood, Seattle, Sante Fe. But a chamber music
lover would be wise to consider Beijing. In season there is are recitals
or concerts availabel almost every night of the week with some very
promising your artists, several of whom have been every bit the equal of
those who attend major music schools in the west in mechanism, and though
a bit on the tame side interpretively, show artistic promise.
More details later when I am not on a 3RMB/minute internet connection.
