Reverse the bottom board. Place over it a frame with the screen, with a new
entrance built in the frame facing forwards. Then you can scrape debris out
from the rear of the hive no matter how many bees are on the front. You can
also insert a tray from the rear to catch the debris, and grease it to
retain live mites if you wish.
