For students attending the Society for American
Archaeology Meeting in Philadelphia, you can
consider staying at a Youth Hostel. I am told
that this one MAY BE pretty close to the
conference hotel:
HI - Bank Street Hostel at 32 South Bank Street
Philadelphia, PA 19106
Tel: (215) 922-0222 Fax: (215) 922-4082
Network(s): HIUSA
Price: $16

No, that was not a typo. $16 per night.
Conditions and requirements at hostels vary
greatly. Sometimes there are separate bunk rooms
for men and women. Sometimes there are curfews.
Sometimes they are great. You may have to join
AYH, which will cost about $20-$25 per year. To
be blunt, in Philadelphia it costs more than $16 a
night to sleep in your car.

There are other options. You can check out the
web page at <http://www.hostels.com/us.pa.pl.html>

Good Luck,
Tim

Do you know the difference between education and
experience? Education is when you read the fine
print; experience is what you get when you don't.
