I am not sure what you are refewrring to, but in the Brandenburg No. 2,
there is the piccolo trumpet --- very high & brilliant-sounding as the name
would imply.
This very sound struck John Lennon of the Beatles one day, when he heard
this work over the BBC and thought of this for the song "Penny Lane".
George Martin, the producer with a classical music background did arrange
for a member of the London Philharmonic to come and play this part in that
song.
