But they don't opt for the recording without the accompaniment; they opt
for Gould.  Are you sure it's "several"? I had no idea I was surrounded.

Oh well, the main thing is that we have a great wealth of performance
excellence and variety of interpretation that allows each of us to listen
to Bach just the way we want.
