I have a question about the second movement of the Schubert String Quintet.
In the section that follows the turbulent minor section, is the theme in
the first violin a variation on a preceding theme, or a new theme? To my
amateur ears it sounds like it is based on the opening section, but I can't
make it fit.

Thanks

David
