It was interesting to me that when I was writing verbal descriptions
of Bach cantatas a few years ago I frequently found myself writing that
the music provided feelings quite contrary to what was in the text, often
soothing sounds to harsh words.  (Unfortunately I don't have any of the
examples at my immediate disposal.)
