I would recommend a 'must see' for Disney's Fantasia 2000. Well, in the
first place I have always been a Disney fan, and the marriage of Disney's
characters and classical music is too much to miss. I particularly like
the segments where Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2 and Geshwin Rhasphody
in Blue are played. It is simply out of this world! I am sure some
honourable members of the list will surely dismiss Fantasia 2000 as
"commercial", "pretentious" and "unbecoming", (especially if they see the
segment of Elgar's Pomps and Circumstances where a fleet of flamingos are
playing yoyo!), but hey, it is all clean fun. What better way to get your
kids interested in classical music? My only regrets is that it is not in
3D.
