We got a Grammy for this recording, and I think it was deserved:) Actually,
the ceremony was rather surreal. On tv that night, Placido Domingo gave
the statuette to our chorus conductor in between an unexpected 20-minute
monologue by Michael Jackson and the more conventional appearance by Eric
Clapton
The soprano had a very bad cold, unfortunately. I think some of her
material was added on a bit later but she still had a bad cold.
