Re Dave Hamilton's posting, if a queen is presented solely with drone cells,
she will sense that something is amiss and get confused.   The fact that she
then behaves in an irrational manner by laying worker eggs any way,  does
not surprise me, and certainly does not persuade me that my theory is
untenable.
